Giselle's Proofing and Editing Service

My passion is in the area of proofreading and copy editing. In 2014, after many years of doing this work for free in my administration job, I decided to set myself up in my freelance business. I am a member of the Society of Editors, NSW and successfully completed studying a professional editing and proofreading course in 2017.

I proofread and copy edit ANY kind of text/document/webpage - big or small - at a competitive price. It's what I love to do. My absolute favourite editing work is of self-help books and memoirs.

I have 24 years experience team-leading and coordinating adult specialist education courses for veterinarians at the University of Sydney via paper and online. These courses were written by internationally-renowned veterinarians and academics. I was responsible for working with these specialists on their course content through to the delivery stage, including proofreading, copy editing, presentation and delivery of their material via several methods over the years. I also supported the tutors and course participants throughout each year and during didactic and practical workshops. You can read the comments from some of the tutors on my testimonials page.

 

Since I started my freelancing business, my work has included proofreading and copy editing university student and academic theses, government and company reports, self-help books and memoirs.
